Child Safety Statement

Ocean Mind is committed to providing a child-safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives. Particular attention will be paid to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, as well as the safety of children with a disability.

Every person involved in Ocean Mind is responsible for understanding the important and specific role they play individually and collectively to ensure that the well-being and safety of all children and young people are at the forefront of all they do and every decision they make. Please see our Child Safeguarding Policy for more information

Acknowledgement of Country

Ocean Mind acknowledges the Wadawurrung, Boonwurrung and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation and the Gunditjamara people as the Traditional Owners of the land and sea on which we work, live and surf. We pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging and acknowledge their deep ongoing connection to and care for the sea and land Country.
