Give a Little Stoke – Change a Life

We believe all young people deserve a supportive environment where they can feel safe, experience self-confidence, and build meaningful connections. Unfortunately, many are facing mental health challenges, feelings of isolation, and unstable home lives that make growing up tougher than it should be.

This May, we’re inviting local businesses to get behind our Give a Little Stoke campaign.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 to continue delivering free surf therapy and mental health programs for young people who need it most.

By joining us, your business becomes part of a compassionate community making a real difference — and you gain the opportunity to:
✔ Connect your brand to a cause that matters
✔ Be featured across Ocean Mind’s social media, newsletter, and community channels
✔ Reach our active and engaged volunteer and supporter network
✔ Show your customers that you care about youth mental health and local impact

We know times are tough, that’s why we’ve created flexible, tiered options so businesses of all sizes can get involved in a meaningful way. No matter the level, every contribution helps remove barriers to support, and keeps our programs free for families doing it tough.

Your support helps us provide:

  • Free 6-week surf therapy programs for young people facing mental health challenges

  • Ongoing Surf Club sessions to build confidence and connection

  • Mentor training for compassionate, youth-focused volunteers

  • Community events that bring young people and families together

When you Give a Little Stoke, you give young people the chance to believe in themselves, build resilience, and feel like they truly belong.

Join us today and help change lives, one wave at a time. 🌊💙

Support Our Impact

  • $500

    Surf Therapy Program Booster

There is a lot of work that goes into delivering our surf therapy programs.

Booster supporters will help young people move from the waitlist to being in the water.

  • $2500

    Community Events Supporter

Ocean Mind’s community events play a crucial role in building community connections, a sense of belonging and increasing awareness of mental health.

Community Events supporters will help us to build community connections, awareness and stoke through surf-related events.

Funds go towards providing events such as our Mental Health Month Paddle Out, Christmas Surf Event and Ocean Mind Surf Carnival.

  • $8500

    Surf Therapy Program Supporter

If Ocean Mind was a surfboard the Surf Therapy programs would be the stringer - they give the foundational strength to enrich young people lives. They are free of charge to the young people and we want to keep it this way to help remove a barrier to accessing support.

Surf Therapy Program supporters will help us to deliver Six Week Swell and Surf Club programs and provide incredible impacts for the young people.

Funds go towards getting young people in the water, training volunteer mentors and providing transport to families who don’t have access to it.
