Lets raise $50K for local young people

There are currently 100+ young people waiting to access Ocean Mind programs, with wait times exceeding 12 months. This is not a demand issue. It is an access issue. Young people are ready to engage, but capacity is not keeping pace with need.

Across Australia, mental health support is under increasing pressure, and many young people are not accessing the support they need when they need it. For some, traditional services are difficult to reach, not timely, or not a fit for how they engage.

Ocean Mind responds to this gap through surf therapy programs combining mentoring, mental health-informed support, and structured time in the ocean. Programs are free for young people and families, which means access depends directly on community and business support.

This May–June, we’re inviting local businesses to help raise $50,000 through the Give a Little Stoke campaign.

This funding directly supports program delivery and reduces wait times for young people in our region.

What your support enables

Business contributions help fund:

  • Free surf therapy programs for young people on the waitlist

  • Ongoing Surf Club sessions that build consistency and connection

  • Mentor training and supervision to support safe, quality delivery

  • Local program facilitation and delivery costs

When you Give a Little Stoke, you give young people the chance to believe in themselves, build resilience, and feel like they truly belong.

Join us today and help change lives, one wave at a time.
